Description:

Pintia is to Toro what Vega Sicilia is to the Ribera del Duero. These two cellars focus all their efforts on what seems to be their obsession: perfection.

The Pintia was one of the first reds to confirm the subtlety and elegance that Toro's tinta is capable of when well known and worked with care and respect. He scored a before and after in the wines of the Toro appellation and raised quality standards to levels hither beginning to be unthinkable.

Powerful reds, there are many in Toro, and some others are very elegant, but few are those who unite power and elegance in a way as masterful as the Pintia.

The grapes, hand-picked and selected from the vineyard, are double selected in the cellar and cooled to preserve their fruity intensity; they ferment in stainless steel and oak and then rest for about a year in a mostly French wood.

The wine that comes out is deep and intense, with a hypnotic colour and with a clear and distinguished nose dominated by the aromas of ripe fruit (ripe and blueberry), noble woods, spices and balsamic reminders. In the mouth it is ample and long, fragrant and rustic, tannic while being kind. It avoids sweet aromas and overmaturities thanks to millimetre acidity. Its finish, laden with vanilla and blue flowers, culminates in a length that lasts, capable of melting the most icy of hearts.
